Colorado Fabrics in the Community

At Colorado Fabrics, our community means the world to us. We are honored to be involved with a number of wonderful non-profit and community organizations!

We Made This

We Made This - Colorado Fabrics Community Partner

Colorado Fabrics is proud to partner with a group that is very near and dear to our hearts: We Made This.

We Made This is an organization that helps refugees who come to the Denver area, integrate into the community, learn english and develop marketable skills by teaching them commercial sewing skills and helping them find employment.

For every pound of fabric you drop off at Colorado Fabrics, we will donate $1 to We Made This! Please note that fabric donations do not include clothes or other sewn projects. We will also accept your donations of working sewing machines to be given to graduates of the We Made This program.

 Quilts of Valor

Quilts of Valor Foundation

We are also proud to support Quilts of Valor, in partnership with the Smoky Hill Quilt Club. The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. Starting in 2017, the Smoky Hill Quilt Club now meets regularly in our store to create these beautiful quilts for service members and veterans in our community!

Angels Above Baby Gowns Denver

We are a group of volunteers that turn wedding gowns into burial gowns for those precious angel babies that never make it home from the hospital. We currently donate to Denver’s St Joseph’s, St. Luke’s & Swedish Hospitals and will partner with more hospitals as we have the capacity to do so.

We donate burial gowns, blankets, bonnets, early loss buntings, angel jewelry and pins, and handmade cards with words of comfort to grieving parents and families.

Thank you for helping us help others. If we can ease just an ounce of pain for these families, it's worth it.

We have a beautiful fellowship of volunteers from all walks of life. We have families (there’s something for every age), kids clubs, newlyweds, grandparents and grandkids, teens needing volunteer hours for college applications, and couples using this as a means to heal from recent loss. There are so many wonderful souls and stories.

Work Days:

  • Colorado Fabrics has generously donated the use of The Gathering Place from   9 am to 2 pm the second Saturday of every other month.
  • A smaller group also meets every Thursday afternoon at our Director’s house.
